The incident occurred on Monday when border officials stationed at the Port of Lukeville, which is located on the U.S.-Mexico border in Arizona, encountered the 47-year-old man attempting to gain entry back into the U.S., according to a press release from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Over 200 chess players from 50 countries and regions will compete in the World University Games due in July, the steering committee said Sunday. “So far, 123 male athletes and 83 female athletes have applied for the competition. Players from countries like Aruba, Malawi and Guatemala applied for the first time to attend the Universiade,” committee director for chess Alexei Dawadov told reporters, reports Xinhua. In the last Universiade held in China’s southern city of Shenzhen in 2011, 150 athletes competed in the chess games....
According to data from Poweroutage.US, in Texas, there are currently 42,977 customers without power, among 12.4 million customers tracked, as of publication. An outage map from Poweroutage.US showed that the areas with the most power outages include Houston County, Madison County, Roberts County and Lipscomb County. The map also noted that the Electric Reliability Council of Texas grid is operating normally, despite the widespread storms. The number of Texans without power on Tuesday comes shortly after several tornadoes touched down in the state, while several other severe weather storms also brought damage to numerous parts of the state....
According to the Air Force, 95.9 percent of the military branch’s 326,000 active-duty members are fully vaccinated as of Wednesday. Another 1 percent have received one shot. Tuesday, November 2, was the Air Force’s deadline for all active-duty members to comply with a vaccine mandate. The Air Force said 8,486 service members remained unvaccinated as of Tuesday. Of those, 800 had “refused” the vaccine while 4,933 had sought religious exemptions and their requests are pending....

One thing that has been long missing from Blizzard’s latest first-person shooter Overwatch is the ability to save and send highlights or Play of the Game clips to other users. Right now, aside from the clip that plays at the end of each match, players are restricted to only seeing five of their own highlights and even those are limited to each play session. That issue looks like it will be a thing of the past very soon, as Jeff Kaplan reports that the game’s feature developers, which are “one of the smaller development strike teams on the Overwatch team” are hard at work creating a way to save and export the best highlight clips....
Much like other AAA multiplayer games, Overwatch 2’s achievement list is designed specifically to ensure that players see all there is to see in the game. As well as general achievements based around completing a certain number of matches or hitting specific milestones, Overwatch 2 also has a slew of hero-based achievements, each of which requires the player to pull off some stylish, skillful moves as every hero. With 160 achievements in the game, players have plenty to do in Overwatch 2....
It is not as though Naka has been away from game development for some time and is finally returning to it, however. Earlier this year Naka developed Balan Wonderworld through Square Enix, one of the year’s most poorly reviewed games on Metacritic. From an inconsistent usage of mechanics, adding and forgetting about some as the game progresses, to just general control and platforming problems, Balan Wonderworld was a disappointment for many who were hoping to see Yuji Naka shine once again....

After months of waiting, Marvel fans were finally graced with some content from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The season finale of Hawkeye, the previous Disney Plus series, premiered on December 22, whereas the last MCU film Spider-Man: No Way Home arrived in theaters on December 17. Many wondered whether Moon Knight would live up to the hype, and the benchmark of typical MCU content before it premiered. And if nothing else, the first episode of the series promises some great acting by Isaac moving forward....

A team aboard the RV Falkor—the flagship research vessel of the Schmidt Ocean Institute (SOI)—spotted the organism, a type of siphonophore known as Apolemia, using a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) in a deep-sea environment known as the Ningaloo Canyons. “Check out this beautiful giant siphonophore Apolemia recorded on #NingalooCanyons expedition. It seems likely that this specimen is the largest ever recorded, and in strange UFO-like feeding posture,” SOI wrote in a Twitter post....
