Several days ago, conflicting reports surfaced online that the console version of the game was apparently canceled. This was quickly disputed by Starbreeze Studios saying that the console version of Overkill’s The Walking Dead is not canceled but is “purely postponed whilst development is on-going.” Now, Skybound Entertainment, the owner of The Walking Dead license, puts the issue to rest by revealing that Overkill’s The Walking Dead is now officially canceled for consoles and that support for the PC version of the game will be discontinued....

As seen below in the eight minutes of fluid gameplay from Overkill’s The Walking Dead, the footage switches between the perspectives of each playable survivor, with each character wielding melee weapons such as a baseball bat with nails or a spear. All members of the party are also capable of carrying and operating firearms like SMGs, revolvers, and sniper rifles. Unfortunately, though, the animations for the melee attacks are stiffly executed, and killing zombies seems to provide no real challenge, as the survivors are mostly able to take them down by collectively bludgeoning them over and over again....

Oshie and Cosgrove's daughter, Lyla Grace, was born on March 17 — but she needed immediate surgery for gastroschisis, a condition in which an infant is born with the intestines on the outside of the body.
