Not only is Zenyatta the first omnic to be represented in the Figma series, but also the first healer. Like the other Overwatch figures, he’s made from a flexible plastic and comes with an articulated stand to make it easy to work him into a variety of poses for display. This figure is packaged with 14 different hand parts, including joined hands, a peace sign, and others. And what would Zenyatta be without his orbs? He will, of course, also come with his Orb of Destruction, Orb of Harmony, and Orb of Discord.
The Zenyatta Figma can be pre-ordered now in the Blizzard store for $79.99, but, unfortunately, won’t be shipping until the end of Q3 2019. If that seems too long, just take some advice from Zenyatta himself: “A warrior’s greatest weapon… is patience”.
Speaking of healers, it was recently discovered through an interview with the assistant art director of Overwatch that sniper healer Ana almost turned out very differently. In her early concept stages, she was originally an alchemist that wore a hazmat suit with vials and tubes attached, which would have made her look almost like Bane from the DC Universe.
While the use of chemicals and biotic weaponry remained, the look and backstory was scrapped. Blizzard then leaned towards a more Mad Max, wasteland-survivor look, before that too was ditched to make way for the Ana we know today - though, her wasteland roots are still present in the form of an alternate skin.
In other news, Torbjorn is getting a major rework on the PTR for testing. His armor packs and scrap mechanics have been removed, and so have the levels for turrets he deploys. His secondary ability, Overload, provides temporary buffs, much like how his original Ultimate used to. His new Ultimate drops liquid magma, creating hazards on the ground for enemy players.
Overwatch is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
