“Blessed for officially being part of this beautiful country,” Jimenez wrote in an Instagram post. He was pictured holding his citizenship certificate and an American flag alongside a replica of the Statue of Liberty.
The 32-year-old Dominican Republic native was signed as an international free agent when he was 17. It has been a busy year for him as he got married and had his first child all in the span of 12 months. Oh, and he still manages to find time to play baseball, too.
