While it has been years since the last Sly Cooper game was released, fans have continued to express their interest in the franchise over the years all the way to the latest anniversary. For this anniversary, Sucker Punch revealed two things to celebrate the milestone, the first of which was a brand-new poster made by the original Sly Cooper Art Director, Dev Madan. Madan worked as the Art Director and Character Designer for the first three Sly Cooper games and made the poster as a tribute to the first game for its 20th anniversary.

The poster displays the interior of a police station that is reminiscent of the police station featured in the first level of Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus. This allows everyone to clearly see what’s going on inside as Sly and his gang are in the middle of a heist that’s become quite chaotic. The poster has tons of references and Easter eggs and shows the main members of the Cooper Gang, including Bentley, Murray, Sly Cooper himself, and their reluctant ally, police detective Carmelita Fox.

It also shows Sly Cooper Easter eggs with several notable characters from the first game in the poster, such as members of the villainous Fiendish Five in jail cells, while their leader, Clockwerk, is on the highest floor. The poster even has Dimitri and Constable Neyla on the bottom floor, two major characters who make their debut in the second game Sly 2: Band of Thieves. Dimitri started out as a villain in the second game but would become an ally to the Cooper Gang in the third game, while Neyla would be the reverse and start out as an ally to the heroes then become a major villain in the second game.

The new poster wasn’t the end of the celebration as Sucker Punch also released new merchandise for the 20th Anniversary, specifically a new Sly Cooper plush figure made from Fangamer that resembles Sly’s appearance from the first game. PlayStation also kicked off the celebration of Sly Cooper’s anniversary by adding The Sly Collection, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, and Bentley’s Hackpack into the Classics Catalog on PlayStation Plus. This allows Premium members to access these games and enjoy the games to celebrate Sly Cooper’s 20th Anniversary.
