With Burnout Paradise Remastered having been out for over a year and featuring online multiplayer options, the game’s 2008 release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC will soon be seeing its servers shut down.
As such, Burnout Paradise’s servers will be shutting down on August 1st. So, if there is anything else fans wish to do in the online component, or if there are any achievements or trophies left to obtain, there are only a few months left. As mentioned within the post, there are just over 100 days left for server activity, though the servers for Burnout Paradise Remastered will stay active.

It’s always sad to hear when servers are going down for a particular game or series. It tends to signify a loss of its relevance to gaming audiences, even if that isn’t necessarily the case. With that said, offline play is nonetheless accessible. Moreover, the game is backward compatible on Xbox One, and the remastered version of the game is available to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC owners, which offers enhanced visuals and presentation.
As of right now, it should be noted that, while Criterion may not be working on any other Burnout games, in light of the server shutdown for its last big installment, the Burnout creators did reveal and release a new driving game called Dangerous Driving. Developed by indie studio Three Fields Entertainment, which is headed by the Burnout series’ original developers, Dangerous Driving plays remarkably similar to Burnout and looks to satisfy fans’ hunger for a new Burnout game.
